Sony launches NEX-F3
Announced back in May, Sony Philippines launched their latest digital camera in the NEX-series — the 16-megapixel Sony NEX-F3.
The NEX-F3 now becomes the most affordable compact system camera in their NEX line-up. The configuration is pretty decent as well and the new features are actually very practical.
Sony NEX-F3 specs:
16.1MP CMOS sensor
30s – 1/4000s shutter speed
5.5 frames per second
200- 16,000 ISO
1080p @ 30fps video recording
18-55mm kit lens
3-inch LCD screen
180-degree tilting LCD screen
SD, SDHC, SDXC, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick Pro-HG Duo
We kind of like some of the few stuff that is incorporated into the NEX-F3.
The tilting LCD can go around up to 180-degree so you can actually see the screen even if you’re facing the lens and taking a self-portrait or using a tripod to take your group photo.
The built-in pop-up flash can also be adjusted so you can use it to bounce the light off instead of flooding the subject straight on.
Since the camera has face detection, there’s a function to do auto-portrait framing — meaning your photos will be cropped so that the subject will be framed correctly. We’ve used a high-end NEX camera before but we’re curious how this new one fares.
Suggested retail price of the Sony NEX-F3 is Php27,999 which includes the 18-55mm kit lens.
